Toxic Freshness?

We all want our homes to be clean but the many types and brands of cleaning products available on store shelves are staggering. We just want a product that will do the job and we tend to assume that if a product is sold in the grocery store, it must be safe for use in our home.

Families want to know how to safely clean clothing and promote cleaner, less polluted air. They are not merely concerned with the products that they personally use, but with the products that their neighbors use, citing that fragranced laundry products pollute the air and may cause harmful effects on humans, especially small children and pets.

Dawn Merritt, managing editor of the MA Report published by the Allergy & Asthma Network, Mothers of Asthmatics describes the potential toxicity of the chemicals found in laundry and other home cleaning products and how to do your cleaning jobs with chemical-free products in this report.
