Allergy-Proof Your Home

Allergy treatment begins at home. Though you can't do much about the environment outside, there are lots of things you can do to rid your home of everyday allergens that may be causing problems. Allergies can be painful and frustrating.

Some people are provided relief from allergies during “off-season”, but if you suffer from year-round allergies, you may continue to have non-stop congestion, sinus headaches and itchy eyes. Even worse, you may end up fighting these allergies while you are inside your house. If you experience itchy, dry eyes, sneezing, or other symptoms while inside your house or office, it’s likely that you are suffering from indoor allergies. So shut it, dry it, and expose it…for starters.

Shut it…we’re talking about windows.

Dry it…even in warm weather the dryer is the place for your clothes.

Expose it…let your natural floors show and toss out the carpeting.

You can also check with your allergist about using a HEPA filter system in your home. HEPA stands for High Efficiency Particulate Air Filter. The best ones remove 99.97% of airborne particles.
