The best advice, in a nutshell, might be to bring your Pen, your salt water, your snacks, your medications and your pillowcases. The Pen...an Epi-Pen especially if you are an asthmatic and are flying. The higher you fly, the less oxygen there is available for you. The water...a bottle of natural saline nasal spray and spray it regularly every hour or so. The snacks...if you are allergic to peanuts. Even though many airlines have eliminated them, some are serving mixed snacks containing peanuts. And besides, you don't get much in the way of snacks anymore, so your own will hold back your hunger pangs. The meds...Bring them in their original containers so that there is no problem in proving what they are. And if you are crossing different time zones recalculate when you must take them. Put them in your carry-on luggage, if flying, and carry extra written prescriptions if you are going out of the U.S. The pillowcases...If you're allergic to dust mites take your own allergy-free cases. The above list is just a beginning. You also may need to know how to make your car, hotel rooms or vacation homes allergy free.
